How to read this page
How we tested: for each pack we took the pack's own files (system prompt and the prompt templates), filled in the [BRACKET] placeholders with invented but realistic details (listed under each run), and ran them through a language model with the exact text shown. We saved the raw output and wrote down what held and what didn't. These are single runs on one model. Output varies between runs and between models, and your inputs will differ from ours. Treat this as evidence of what the files can do, not as a guarantee.
Model and settings: grok-4.3 (xAI API), temperature 0, one call per run, on 2026-10-23 (America/Louisville time zone).

Fill-ins we made:
[COMMUNITY NAME]→ Indie Roguelike Devs (invented)server-rules.md, ladder, FAQ→ pasted from the pack / invented FAQ (3 entries)
Exact input (user message)
Message/situation: A member, 'keyhunter77' (joined 2 days ago, no prior warnings), DM'd five other members: "free giveaway!! claim your Steam key here steam-gifts-free.example/claim". Two of them reported it in #mod-mail. Context: no prior warnings; DMs, reported in #mod-mail Which rule (if any) applies? What ladder level? Draft the message. If it's ambiguous, say so and suggest asking for context first.
Raw output (unedited)
**Rule:** #3 (No spam or self-promo, including DMing members with ads) and #6 (No scams). **Ladder level:** 4 (Ban) — this is a clear scam attempt via DMs, which skips straight to ban per the guidelines. **Action:** Ban immediately. Delete any related messages if visible. Log the reports, usernames, and link. Consider reporting the account to Discord. **Message to send (via DM before/during ban or as ban reason):** keyhunter77, You were banned for DMing members with a "free Steam key" link. This violates rule 3 (no spam/self-promo via DMs) and rule 6 (no scams). If you believe this was a mistake, reply to #mod-mail with details.
What we saw
- Cited the right rules (#3 no DMing ads, #6 no scams), put it at ladder level 4 (ban) as the moderation guide says for scams, logged the evidence, and drafted a calm ban message that names the rule, not the person's character.
- Small flaw: the draft ban message tells the user to 'reply to #mod-mail', which a banned user usually cannot do. The pack's own ban template has an appeals placeholder; the model improvised.
Run 2: FAQ bot: question the FAQ does not cover Passed

Hey, what's the server's policy on posting AI-generated art in #showcase?
Raw output (unedited)
That's not covered in the server rules or FAQ. Ask in #help or DM a mod for clarification.
What we saw
- The FAQ we supplied had no entry on AI-generated art. The reply says it is not covered and points to #help, and invents no policy.

[COMMUNITY NAME]→ Indie Roguelike Devs (invented)server-rules.md, ladder, FAQ→ pasted from the pack / invented FAQ (3 entries)
Exact input (user message)
Draft an announcement for a community game night this Saturday at 8pm ET: we'll play a few member-made roguelike builds in voice channel #game-night. Keep it short.
Raw output (unedited)
**Community Game Night** This Saturday at 8pm ET We'll play a few member-made roguelike builds in #game-night.
What we saw
- Announcement is 113 characters (limit in the pack: 800), has no @everyone or @here, and contains only the details we gave (Saturday, 8pm ET, #game-night). It is plain and short; it did not add any invented prizes or links.
What failed or was weak
- Run 1: ban message points a banned user to a channel they can't use.
- Oct 15 internal review: system prompt referred to rules and ladder it did not contain (now has paste slots, which we filled), inconsistent length limits (the event prompt now says 800), and a reaction-role setup note was missing (now in server-rules.md). Verified in current files today.
What we did not test
- Not run today: welcome and onboarding messages, the event templates beyond one, the full warning-to-ban ladder across repeated offenses (needs history).
- Server rules, FAQ and members are invented; no real Discord server or bot was used.
- Not tested against abusive or prompt-injection messages from members.
- One model, one run per prompt (grok-4.3); other models untested.
