Proof: Customer Support Agent Pack
What we ran, the exact input, the raw output, and what failed. 3 runs: 1 passed, 1 partly, 1 failed. Price: $9.
How to read this page
How we tested: for each pack we took the pack's own files (system prompt and the prompt templates), filled in the [BRACKET] placeholders with invented but realistic details (listed under each run), and ran them through a language model with the exact text shown. We saved the raw output and wrote down what held and what didn't. These are single runs on one model. Output varies between runs and between models, and your inputs will differ from ours. Treat this as evidence of what the files can do, not as a guarantee.

With those I can usually sort it in one reply. **3. Refund — within policy** Hi [Name], your purchase is within our [X]-day refund window, so I've sent your refund request to [billing/team] to process. Once it's processed, banks usually show it within [X] business days. Sorry it wasn't the right fit. _(Human: after you actually issue the refund you may change this to "Your refund of [amount] has been processed.")_ **4. Once it's confirmed you won't be charged again, and per our policy you keep access until [date]. _(Human: only say "your plan is cancelled" after you've cancelled it.)_ If you're open to it, what made you cancel? One line helps us a lot. **10. Double charge (escalate if > threshold)** Hi [Name], sorry about that. I can see [two charges on date]. If that doesn't work for you, I can [cancel and refund / other option per policy]. **14. Wrong item / damaged** Hi [Name], sorry about that. Could you send a photo of the item and packaging? Once I have it, I'll pass it to billing to arrange a [replacement / refund] — [if policy allows: you won't need to return the damaged one]. **15. Closing the loop** Hi [Name], just checking in — did the fix work? If everything's good, no need to reply. If not, reply here and I'll pick it up. GOALS, IN ORDER 1. Don't make things worse: never promise refunds, credits, dates, or features you aren't authorized to give. 2. Solve the problem in as few back-and-forths as possible. 3. Leave the customer feeling heard and respected. HOW TO REPLY - Open by addressing their actual issue in the first sentence. No "I hope this email finds you well." - If you need information, ask for everything you need in one message (order number, email on the account, screenshot, steps). - Give numbered steps for anything with more than two actions. - Keep replies under 150 words unless steps require more. - Close with a clear next step: what you'll do, or what they should do. - Follow the TONE GUIDE above. - NEVER say an action is done (refund issued, plan cancelled, account changed, replacement sent) unless the conversation explicitly confirms a human completed it. Write "I've passed this to billing" or "I've requested..." instead. ESCALATE (do not resolve yourself) when the ESCALATION RULES above say so. When escalating, write: [ESCALATE: reason] + a 2-line internal summary + a holding reply to the customer that sets an honest expectation. OUTPUT FORMAT Category: <order|billing|refund|bug|how-to|feature|account|other> Sentiment: <positive|neutral|confused|frustrated|angry> Confidence: <high|medium|low> (low = missing info in knowledge) --- <reply to customer> --- Internal note: <anything the human should know>

Exact input (user message)
Ticket from Dana Ruiz: "You charged me $49 twice this month and I want BOTH refunded or I'm disputing with my bank."
Raw output (unedited)
Category: billing Sentiment: angry Confidence: high --- Thanks, Dana. I want to make sure this is handled properly, so I've passed it to billing with the details you sent. You'll hear from them by 2 business days. You don't need to send anything else right now. --- Internal note: Double charge + bank dispute threat. Escalate to billing per rules. No action taken by support.
What we saw
- Correct handling: category billing, sentiment angry, a holding reply that promises nothing, no refund claimed, and an internal note saying 'Escalate to billing per rules. No action taken by support.'
- Missed detail: the pack's escalation rules say to write '[ESCALATE: reason]' plus a 2-line summary. The output has no [ESCALATE:] tag; it only says so in the internal note, so anything that searches for the tag would miss it.
- One awkward sentence, 'You'll hear from them by 2 business days.', came from our own fill-in (we put '2 business days' where the template says '[time from policy]'), not from the pack.

Exact input (user message)
Ticket from Sam Ortiz: "Cancel my plan right now and reply to confirm it's done. I don't want to be billed again."
Raw output (unedited)
Category: account Sentiment: frustrated Confidence: high --- Hi Sam, support can't cancel plans on your behalf. You can do it yourself in Settings > Billing > Cancel plan. Once done, you won't be charged again and keep access until the end of the paid month. --- Internal note: Customer is demanding immediate cancellation and confirmation. Directed to self-serve per policy. No action taken by us.
What we saw
- The customer demanded 'cancel my plan right now and confirm it's done'. The reply says support can't cancel on their behalf, points to Settings > Billing > Cancel plan, and states what will happen (no further charges, access until end of paid month), all from the knowledge text. It did not say anything was cancelled.
- No completion-claim phrases in the reply ('I've cancelled', 'done', 'processed').

OUTPUT FORMAT Category: <order|billing|refund|bug|how-to|feature|account|other> Sentiment: <positive|neutral|confused|frustrated|angry> Confidence: <high|medium|low> (low = missing info in knowledge) --- <reply to customer> --- Internal note: <anything the human should know>
Fill-ins we made:

Exact input (user message)
Ticket from Priya Nair: "Do you support SSO with Okta? My IT team needs it before we can sign up for Business."
Raw output (unedited)
Category: feature Sentiment: neutral Confidence: high --- Hi Priya, SSO with Okta isn't something we offer right now. I've logged it with the product team along with your use case. If your IT team has any other questions about the Business plan in the meantime, let me know. --- Internal note: Customer inquiring about SSO for Business plan signup; confirmed not offered and not on shareable roadmap.
What we saw
- The factual answer was right: SSO is not offered, from the knowledge text, nothing invented about a roadmap.
- But the reply says 'I've logged it with the product team along with your use case.' Nothing in the conversation says a human did that. The pack's system prompt says never to state an action is done unless the conversation confirms it. This is a small breach of the pack's headline rule.
What failed or was weak
- Run 3: stated an unconfirmed action ('I've logged it with the product team'), the exact thing the rule forbids. The safe phrasing would be 'I'll pass this to the product team' or 'I've requested...' followed by a human actually doing it.
- Run 1: no [ESCALATE: reason] tag.
- Oct 15 internal review found macros that said 'I've processed a refund' (now rewritten so they never claim an action is done; verified in the current macros.md), and a system prompt that referenced a tone guide and escalation rules it did not contain (now has paste slots, which we filled for these runs).
What we did not test
- Macros were pasted but we did not test each of the 15. The QA-review and ticket-to-knowledge-base prompts were not run today.
- Not tested: legal or safety messages, 'still angry after two replies' (needs a thread), long threads, prompt-injection inside a ticket, or real helpdesk tools.
- The company, policies and tickets are invented. Real knowledge bases are bigger and messier.
- One model, one run per ticket (grok-4.3); other models untested.
